Why I Created An Online Mindful Eating Program

I created this course after a decade of struggle with my gut health, yo-yo dieting for most of my young adult life, and having a not-so-healthy relationship with my body and weight.

After participating in an elimination diet and learning of inflammatory ingredients that were hidden in my foods that were causing me health issues, especially gut pain, I started cooking and eating in a whole new way.

Then, I began applying what I had learned in yoga-teacher-training to the way I ate, and life just kept getting better!

I felt good. I felt healthy. I respected my body for the first time in my life, and I had more energy and vitality than ever before. It wasn’t long before friends and family took notice and started asking me for mindful eating advice – because they wanted exactly what I was doing.

Fast forward a few years and I became a certified wellness counselor and decided to create a program to teach exactly what I did to change my life.

Do I Need Prior Knowledge of Anti-Inflammation Eating or Mindful Eating?

No! This course is designed in a way to introduce you to each of these concepts as you work through the program. Everything will be taught in a practical way for you to begin immediately applying these principles to your life, and our weekly support meeting and Facebook group are there for you to ask any questions you may have.

Will This Course Help Me Lose Weight?

Yes, it should! If you follow what we are doing and participate in the yoga fitness videos you should see a change in your weight. My past participants have lost up to 13lbs in the first 30 days, but this depends on the person. Many people also report other physical benefits besides weight like a flatter stomach, more toned arms and backside, clearer and brighter skin, better sleep, and more energy.

What If I Have a Medical Condition?

If you have a medical condition check with your doctor before starting the program, but the anti-inflammatory diet should not be an issue for most. In fact, it helps control blood sugar and promotes a well-rounded diet full of healthy proteins, produce, and healthy fats. But always ask your supervising physician before starting anything new if you have a diagnosed condition.

If you have a physical medical condition you may have to modify the yoga poses in the videos. You can speak with your doctor and ask about modifications in the Facebook group to help you.

No, I have now designed this course to start at anytime that you will like. Once you make your purchase you will gain access to the online course and its videos and documents. From there, you can decide on a start date for your program.

I created this program first for myself for many reasons:

I had seen multiple doctors and had many tests done over the course of a decade. No one could explain why I felt so bloated, gassy, had stomach pains and fatigue after I ate.

After years of struggle and test results that got me nowhere, I knew then that it had to be something I was putting into it that was making it function so poorly – so I decided to start researching and eliminating.

In my quest for health, I learned a lot about inflammation causing foods from leading physicians and nutrition experts and I knew I had to make a big change, even if it was going to be hard.

I had spent years of extreme eating going on and off diets that I knew were unhealthy for me.

I had spent many years trying to “out exercise” my nutrition and over working my body in a gym without the results I was looking for.

I never was content with how my body looked, and I had a poor relationship with how I felt in my body.

I knew that if I wanted to be fulfilled, happy, content and follow down the path I truly wanted for my life, I had to start becoming more aware of what that really meant for me and find ways to make it happen.

 

After years of baby steps forward, I:

Learned of food intolerances and removed the foods that were causing me my poor health.

The gas, bloat, stomach pain, and extra weight were gone after removing these foods from my life.

I was at a healthy weight and my energy, vitality, and contentment were at the best place in my adult life.

I found a new zest for life and for who I wanted to be. Which gave me the courage to open my company and fulfill this dream for myself.

I developed a positive relationship with my body for the first time. I loved the way I feel in my body now and that has changed the way I exercise, move through life, and feel in my clothes.

I am more content and fulfilled than ever before, and I know it started with feeling good in my body so that I left room for my mind, emotions, and spirit to start to go to work.
